Morocco, Exploring El Hadj
Small hill outside Imlil at 3,134m
To avoid walking back along the same track I had used to reach Imlil several days before (
view blog), I chose to explore the path that was shown next to the stream
It became difficult to follow in sections and weaved in and out of the stream bed
Further along the path came out in the open and was a good width
Small hillock by Tizi n'Mzik with El Hadj in background
Although a path is shown on the map for El Hadj there is nothing in reality. The initial ascent is on scree but once the rocks were reached the going was easier
Route finding with easy scrambling
Old trees near top of El Hadj
The last 2 hillocks on El Hadj
The route east from Tizi n'Trikert is a long winding path. The path initially goes more north than shown on the map but this is to avoid rocks and it soon sweeps back
Misty descent from Tizi n'Tzikert
Pizza
When I returned back to the hostel, Sied said the cafe with the pizza sign wouldn't be making any tonight so he took me down to a hotel
Vegetarian pizza was ordered as it had been several days since I'd eaten any vegetables
It really was vegetarian: Carrots and green beans
Just a bit different to the mushroom, sweet corn, peppers or pineapple toppings that I had imagined
