Sunny September in the Pentlands
One of Edinburgh's great assets

Stunning weather for September so a bus ride to the Pentlands was in order

Start was Hill End ski centre
Words from Robert Louis Stevenson at top of ski tow
Up to Caerketton Hill passing by the top of the ski tows

Along to Allermuir Hill where I thought I saw a child's animal toy on a fence post. I went over to see and it looked very real. In fact it was real, a squirrel!

A very strange place for it to be as there aren't any trees on the hill
Squirrel on Allermuir Hill, Pentlands, Edinburgh
Looking south with East and West Kip to right
Then past Castlelaw Hill and then onto what is a common route of Turnhouse Hill, Carnethy Hill, Scald Law, East Kip and West Kip then past Hare Hill to finish just beyond Red Moss car park
Looking back to Caerketton Hill
Looking south west to Glencorse reservoir
Looking back north
Heading towards Red Moss car park
Water to west of Threipmuir reservoir
