Pentlands Single Speeding
Test ride after changing bike back to single speed
During the recent heavy rainy days I'd decided to change my bike back to single speed. A change in the weather brought a change to try it out
Looking over to Harbour Hill with Capelaw Hill behind
The Pentlands is a great resource on Edinburgh's doorstep and is easy to get to from the city centre on National Cycle Network route 75
Turning off at Currie onto tarmac for a short while leads through to a track at Wester Kinleith
Looking north back down track
I had started late so didn't have enough time to add a loop to Glencorse and Loganlea reservoirs before the forecast was due to change back to rain
Harbour Hill on left, Bell's Hill on right
I turned down to the Harlaw House visitor centre and onto Threipmuir reservoir
Track down to visitor centre
Once the sun started to go down the temperature dropped and there was still a tiny amount of snow left at the car park
Snow still left in places
